This policy explains what ZIMMR Immigration collects through this website and the online assessment form, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to meet our obligations under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for Quebec residents, Law 25.
When you use the assessment form or contact ZIMMR directly, we collect the information you choose to provide. That usually includes your name and contact details, and information about your immigration situation — which may include sensitive details such as your nationality, status in Canada, family circumstances, education and work history.
Browsing this website does not require you to give us any of that. We do not ask for personal information simply to read a page.
To review your submission, respond to your enquiry, and — if you book one — to prepare for and conduct a consultation with the Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant. If you go on to retain ZIMMR, to carry out that work.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
We measure how the website is used so we can tell which pages are useful. This is limited to aggregate information: pages viewed, the site that referred you, how far down a page people read, and whether links such as the assessment form or the phone number were clicked.
This measurement does not use advertising cookies, does not attempt to identify you, and does not record anything you type into a form. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, we do not record these events at all. Where our analytics provider processes this data outside Canada, that processing is covered by the section below.
The assessment form is hosted separately from this website and may use automated tools, including AI-based processing, to help route and organise submissions before a person reviews them. Some of that processing, and some analytics processing, may take place outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws of the country concerned.
No automated output is treated as immigration advice. Only Irshad Osman, RCIC-IRB, gives advice on a case.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes set out above, and for as long as we are required to keep it by the record-keeping obligations that apply to a licensed immigration consultant and by applicable law. When it is no longer needed for either, it is deleted or anonymised.
You can ask us how long we expect to keep information relating to you, and we will tell you.
Your information is not sold. It is used within ZIMMR, and by the service providers that operate the assessment form, our analytics and our related tools on ZIMMR's behalf, under obligations of confidentiality.
Where a matter requires it, and with your knowledge, information may be submitted to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada or another decision-making body as part of an application. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
This website is served over an encrypted connection, and submissions through the assessment form are transmitted over encrypted connections to the systems that process them. Access to case information is limited to those who need it to do the work. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Under PIPEDA — and under Law 25 if you are a Quebec resident — you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, and withdraw consent for future communications at any time. Quebec residents also have rights relating to the portability of their information and to being informed about automated decision-making.
Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer act on a matter for you, and we will tell you if that is the case. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Immigration services are provided by Irshad Osman, RCIC-IRB, a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants. The licence can be verified by name on the CICC public register.
